Head Start is a federal program in the United States designed to provide early childhood education services and support for families with children under the age of 5 years old. The goal of Head Start is to prepare small children in vulnerable communities for school through early education intervention and resources. Head Start is a free program and available during the school year. Signing your children up for Head Start is easy and can be done in-person by meeting with a Head Start representative at the Crestview Resource & Community Development Center every week in the month of August 2025. Parents and guardians can also reach out to Head Start directly to begin the enrollment process or learn more about what the Head Start program offers.
