Parents and guardians with children under the age of 5 are encouraged to apply for the Head Start Program\, a nationally recognized early childhood education program that supports children and families through learning\, development\, and school readiness services. \nTo complete the enrollment process\, parents or guardians will need to provide the following documents: \n\nProof of residency\nBirth certificate for the child(ren)\nProof of income for the past 52 weeks\nPhoto ID of parent/guardian\nProof of disability for child(ren)\, if applicable\n\nLSF Head Start representatives will be available every Thursday from 10:30am to 1:30pm at the CRC to assist families with enrollment and answer questions about the program. This event is designed to promote early detection\, improve access to healthcare resources\, and help individuals take charge of their health. \nScreenings include blood pressure\, blood glucose (diabetes)\, vision\, weight and BMI measurements\, along with other basic health assessments using the same high-quality equipment found in many traditional medical offices. \nParticipants identified as needing additional care may receive personalized guidance and referrals to primary care providers\, chronic illness management programs\, and other community health resources. Educational materials will also be available to help individuals better understand their health and next steps. \nAll screenings are free of charge\, and no insurance is required.
